What is Filtered Sound Training?

  • Filtered Sound Training (FST) is a computer-based sound modulation program. It is an adaptation for at-home, PC delivery of the internationally known Berard system of Auditory Integration Training (AIT).

  • FST works to exercise the listening mechanism, by challenging the way the ear hears sound.

  • The training consists of high-energy styles of music with words, which alternately shuffle between high and low frequencies.

  • These frequency settings are pre-determined and unique based on the needs of the individual participating in the training session.

  • The training takes place over 10 days, with two 30 minute sessions per day.
